Time flies!

I am still here....haven't done anything "crafty" lately to post about. I love to do my family genealogy and I have been working on that. So much more is on the internet now for free since I first started family history research. If anyone needs any tips on starting searching their family history I would be glad to pass along a few tips I have learned.

April Fool's Day

As you can see, I love Saturday Evening Post covers, none more so than those by Norman Rockwell. Apparently he liked April Fool's Day and did many covers for it. This one is supposed to have 51 "errors" including his name being upside down. It is from 1945.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Saturday Evening Post cover March 1943. See the tiny shamrocks in her veil? Very pretty. Hope everyone has a lovely day...don't we all have a little Irish in us?

Vintage Avon Cotillion

Here's some more of my vintage Avon collection. The first picture is a page from a 1965 Avon catalog I have. My picture doesn't show the true pretty pink color. One tip on dating the age of the containers is if the address for Avon on the bottle label has a zip code. Zip codes were introduced about 1963. Cotillion fragrance was introduced in the 1930's and had a completely different bottle design. The design I have was started in 1961 until 1974. I think it is a lovely design.
