We live about an hour from Mt. Airy, NC, Andy's birthplace. It is the town the fictional town of Mayberry was based on. We love "The Andy Griffith Show" and are saddened by the loss of Andy Griffith today. By the way, the actress who played Thelma Lou on the show, Betty Lynn, actually moved to Mt. Airy to live a few years ago.

Andy Griffith sad news

We love "The Andy Griffith Show" and are saddened by the loss of Andy Griffith today. By the way, the actress who played Thelma Lou on the show, Betty Lynn, actually moved to Mt.
