Crochet shawls
I've been crocheting shawls lately, found some new patterns I like. Made several for mom. The pink one is unfinished, but the peach one is done. I like the color of the yarn, it is called "Peaches" and has all those pretty as a peach color changes. It's a free pattern on Ravelry named "South Bay Shawlette". The top pattern is also free on Ravelry, named "Amorous".

Crochet bunny
I made a crochet bunny from a free pattern on Ravelry. It is a cute pattern, I want to make more in different colors. We need a touch of color and spring here, the weather has been so up and down this year!

Things I've been working on
Made a tiny crochet teddy bear
Made two doll size miniature afghans, one on the right is a ripple pattern, (that is a Barbie doll sofa they are on)
Made these felt Christmas fawn ornaments for family, friends, and co workers (also made the felt dog for myself). I got the inspirations for these online, (http://myfelt-carla.blogspot.com.br/)
Made this little crochet Christmas mouse from pattern by Sharon Ojala,
This is a project I entered in the fair last fall and won first place. The theme was "My Favorite Fair Scene" and I chose exhibits. I did this in miniature, I made everyting except the scrapbook pictures of pumpkins and sun flowers, I even made the baskets. The height of the side of the frame is about 14 inches. So even though I haven't posted often I have been creating!

A little crochet and remembering Kennedy
My niece's wedding is over and it was beautiful. I've been doing a little crocheting, did this pixie hat and pant for this little thrift store doll. She cost about a quarter.
Today is 50 years since President Kennedy was assassinated. I remember it well, it is one of those things that is burned in your memory and you remember where you were and how you found out. I can remember seeing Oswald shot on TV and of course watching the funeral of Kennedy. It was a very strange time.

Tiny crochet teddy bear
I've done some more work on the miniature bed but can't seem to start the other room items!
Meanwhile, I crocheted this tiny panda bear using 2 strands of DMC floss and a #10 steel hook. He's the smallest I've done so far!

The fair opened

I got my fair entry results and was pleased with most of the wins. My pink Scottie dog got a blue, the sewn Barbie cape and pants got a blue, my blue doily got a blue, the small white doily got a blue, Snow bunny got a red, and the white crochet Barbie dress got a blue! I will post some more photos later AND show what didn't win a thing...LOL!

Fair entries

Here's one of my fair entries, for the crochet animal or toy category. I found this Snow Bunny pattern for free on Ravelry. I added a fluffy pom pom for the tail, a little pink chalk inside the ears and on the cheeks, and I added a little green basket for it to sit in. Turned in my entries on Wed and should find out Frinday how I did! (Mom is doing much better since her fall, although she still is in bed most of the day, it will take some time for the fractures to heal.)

Have you seen this?

I found this neat potholder pattern on ravelry...it is very functional and the technique or stitch makes it so thick you don't have to make two layers. The free pattern is on= blogs.the tucker.com, under her crochet section. And look at the crochet book I found at Dollar Tree! I have been admiring these patterns online. They are large hotpads or just for decoration, very unusual patterns.

Crochet
I blocked the small Vanity Fair doily a little more, it's from Hand Crochet by Royal Society Book No. 1 1943. It's a fun pattern and I think I will do the large one also. Started a new project..by Gisela Maier in Crochet Decorative Magazine #43. It's an older magazine. The Cebelia #20 thread is a prettier baby blue than it shows in the picture.
