Lastest craft project: Barbie Hatboxes

Supplies

Paint anywhere you don't want brown to show.

I printed Barbie logo on scrapbook paper for the cover. Scrapbook paper to cover sides. I found heavier paper

worked better for sides (not cardstock, cardstock worked

well for top and bottom)

I lined inside of top and bottom, and covered sides. I used

Alleens's Fast Grab Tacky Glue and also a gluestick.

Punched two holes and insterted eyelets (found in scrapbooking

section at craft store) and insterted cord. Tie knots at ends of

cord on inside. Glue cord as trim around the top and bottom.

I added pink flowered tissue paper for the inside (purchased at Dollar Tree). I think they turned out kinda cute!

Fair entries

Here's one of my fair entries, for the crochet animal or toy category. I found this Snow Bunny pattern for free on Ravelry. I added a fluffy pom pom for the tail, a little pink chalk inside the ears and on the cheeks, and I added a little green basket for it to sit in. Turned in my entries on Wed and should find out Frinday how I did! (Mom is doing much better since her fall, although she still is in bed most of the day, it will take some time for the fractures to heal.)

Special things

My husband's aunt gave me these beautiful note cards in 1988. A friend of hers had tatted the flowers and then attached them to note papers. I thought they were too pretty to use! I think the daisy one has the most detail. Aren't they pretty!
