I love to do genealogy research of my family and love the old family photos. My mom's family took lots of pictures. Here is my mom when she lived with her Aunt in Washingon DC. A friend took a photo for us a couple of years ago of the same steps so I put the photos side by side. Her picture was in the early 1940's on NW 16th Street.

That is really thoughtful of your friend to take the photo of the same steps. Isn't it interesting to see the subtle changes over the years of the same place. What a lovely photo of your mom! :)
I bumped into your blog - and was wondering how you do your geneology "stuff"? I am thinking about order a twenty dollar computer family tree program - do you use something like this? (I am also going to try your crocheted edge!)
