Here's the latest pot holder I've been working on. I don't have the back on it yet. Can you tell I like pink? Look at this pretty crochet pillow pattern. This is in one of the old Magic Crochet magazines I bought at a yard sale recently. I would love to do this, but the patterns in these magazines are charted and I had never used charts before. I've played around with a couple of charted patterns and find it difficult. But I may attempt it!

Oh, WOW! This is very pretty!
In regards to your next post about Apollo! I remember it and I was tiny! It was a big day...or evening, as I recall!
Thank you for entering my giveaway! Good luck to you!

The potholders are beautiful, you are an inspriration.

I've done lots of charts and really like them. Learning the symbols is really the same as learning the writen abbriveation.

Just as dc is short for doulbe crochet, the 't' is the symbol for double crochet. and the little oval 'o' is the symbol for chain. If you need help just leave me a note on my blog and I'll come over and answer you.

don't de put off by those graph/charted patterns, they are SO easy! I much prefer them to the written ones, for 2 main reasons:
first, you get a VISUAL idea of what the project looks like.
second, you don't have to keep marking the row number to keep your place, and in my personal situation, the graphs are easy on the eyesight, especially when you have both astigmatism and miopia.
I would recommend making a photocopy of the symbols and their meanings, and keep that by your side as a guide when you're crocheting something with those sysmbols. HTH!
well done on your potholder, it's gorgeous!!
